Giving and Receiving: Interfaith Giving as an Agent of Peace

G&R Apr Banner

In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, the Lien Centre for Social Innovation (LCSI) hosted an online interfaith dialogue exploring the role of faith-based funders and organisations in promoting peace and understanding among multi-faith communities. The session was part of the third discussion in the Giving and Receiving Programme Series aimed at extending conversations around the outcomes of a report by LCSI of the same name.

The session gathered leaders and representatives from various faith-based funders and organisations to explore the different perspectives of giving across four faiths: Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Baha’i), and how these perspectives are then translated into decisions made around partnering with organisations from different faiths, and funding initiatives that are relevant to their respective faiths.
